GEORGIA SOCCER CAMPS-Kennesaw State University-Marietta Campus
Located in Marietta-Serving regional Atlanta & Birmingham

Eurotech® Soccer Academy is entering its first year of operating a camp at Kennesaw State University-Marietta Campus and it’s 18th consecutive year of running soccer camps in the state of Georgia. The Eurotech® tradition started in Georgia in early 2001 with camps at the University of West Georgia, Darlington School in Rome, followed by the previous five years at beautiful Oglethorpe University which brought the camp back closer to the Atlanta Metroplex. The new KSU-Marietta site will have a limited enrollment of 60-75 campers. Eurotech® and the athletic department at Kennesaw State University-Marietta Campus  (formerly SPSU) have partnered to provide an incredible soccer training environment and is excited to be hosting one of it’s Under Armour® Soccer Performance Center programs on this fantastic campus convenient to all of Atlanta and it's many soccer saturated suburbs! This facility is by far one of Eurotech’s best located facilities conveniently located off I-75, the I-285 loop and within a few miles of the new MLS Atlanta United Training Facility, Dobbins AFB, Life University and Suntrust Park - home of the MLB Atlanta Braves! KSU-Marietta is also within the regional triad of Atlanta, Birmingham and Chattanooga.

Campus Overview

 
Athletic Facilities
Kennesaw State University Marietta Campus (Formerly Southern Polytechnic State University) offers Eurotech® campers fantastic athletic facilities with over 100 acres of campus just outside the outter I-285 perimeter of Atlanta! Brand new  bermuda grass fields (training home to the MLS Atlanta United Development Academy!) are all within a few minutes walk from the dormitory and dining center in Hornet Village! KSU-Marietta Campus also features a small gymnasium with brand new flooring as well as the KSU Recreation & Wellness Center. This facility includes a two-court gymnasium, 2 racquetball courts, a fitness studio, a meeting room, 6-lane 25-yard indoor pool, and an outdoor patio. The Sport & Recreation Center also features classrooms and meeting rooms for video analysis. In addition to plenty of field space, Eurotech® also has access to the gymnasium in the case of lightning or bad weather in the area. Campers are encouraged to bring indoor training soccer shoes in case of inclement weather and for use in the indoor gym.

Dormitories/Rooming
Campers will be housed in modern air-conditioned dormitories on campus. The KSU-Marietta Campus dormitory system is the backbone of this beautiful campus and dorm living for our campers help to develop strong, life-long camper friendships and team bonding. Each room features private bathrooms and residents have access to TV lounges in the dorm lobby. The dorm rooms accommodate 1-2 campers per bedroom and up to 2 campers per suite. Roommate requests are typically honored if requests are made prior to June 1. Attending teams and groups of players will always be roomed in adjacent rooms on the same floor whenever possible. Modern laundry facilities are available in the dormitories accessible to all campers, guests, and staff. Please bring coins, your own laundry soap and do not count on vending machines to be full during the summer months when many camps come through the dormitories at KSU. The dorms are a very short walk to both the main soccer field and dining center. Boys and girls are always placed on separate floors, separate wings or separate dorms altogether pending the facility. Multiple Eurotech® Staff are always placed on each floor and provide supervision and support to all campers.

Campus Dining
The Campus Student Center (Joe Mack Wilson Student) houses various eateries and coffee shops and is  located towards the entrance to campus. The main dining center for campers will be Stinger's Restaurant which is located just steps from the dormitories in Hornet Village. This modern Dining Center offers a vast variety of entrees at every meal and also features a full salad bar, fruit bar, dessert bar, multiple drink stations (Milk, Sodas, Teas),  juice bar, coffee stations, and buffet style dining, where campers can choose from all their favorites like pizza, burgers, hot dogs, etc. as an example at lunch. There are also drink vending machines in the dormitories and Eurotech® also offers the optional nightly Pizza Party for all Residential/Overnight campers Monday through Thursday.

Camp Enrollment
Enrollment at the Georgia camp session is on the rise again and should be around 50-65 campers this season. With the fantastic metro-Atlanta, fantastic athletic fields, great air-conditioned dormitories and new Dorms and Stingers Restaurant, both groups and individual players from all over Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina will be returning and the 2019 season at KSU-Marietta Campus. Enrollment will be on a first come, first serve basis and be set-up to guarantee the correct ratios of goalkeepers to field players as well as camp staff to campers.

Campus Security
Kennesaw State University-Marietta Campus is a very secure campus and features 24-hour campus security who work directly with the Eurotech® Director on-site along with experienced KSU-marieta Campus Summer Camp Staff, Eurotech® Coaching Staff, Medical Staff, and Counselors who also live in the dorms and monitor camper activity daily. KSU-Marietta Campus also maintains a partnership with local Urgent Care Centers near campus with Regional Hospitals located nearby, only a short distance from the campus.

Designated Airport and Shuttle Information

Arriving by Plane
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) — approximately 45 minutes from Kennesaw State University-Marietta Campus. 

Air Transportation Services
Because many of our campers travel by air, we recommend you call your local travel agent or Milne Travel at 1-888-826-1557 and ask for “Eurotech Camp Reservations" or Ingrid Mountain. Milne Travel is the Official Travel Agency for Eurotech® Soccer Worldwide as well as many other national sports organizations. It is the responsibility of the camper to make all travel plans and forward any flight itineraries to the Eurotech® National Office if a shuttle is being used (see "Shuttle Service" information below). Campers may only arrive on the first day of camp and will be required to depart on the last day of camp.

Ground Transportation/Shuttle Service
Eurotech® also recommends specific shuttle services for this camp location. Reliable and recommended ground transportation companies can be found below. Shuttle service to campers and teams who arrive via air, bus or train may vary from location to location. If you are having problems finding a suitable service, please feel free to contact Eurotech® for assistance. Please note that Eurotech® does not provide a Shuttle Service and can not be responsible for transporting campers to and from airports. It is recommended that younger campers are accompanied by an adult during travel and through the first day registration process.

From Atlanta Airport (ATL) — Shuttletran Airport Transportation Services Inc., a shuttle service, leaves from each terminal and runs regularly to Oglethorpe on a daily basis. Advance reservations are required. For departure information and reservations call 1-800-556-5466 or 706-235-5466. A one-way ticket is approximately $40; round-trip is approximately $80.

Arriving by Train
Amtrak trains arrive into Atlanta at Peachtree Station. To reach KSU-Marietta Campus from Peachtree Stattion you will need to get a taxi or shuttle to the school directly.

Driving Directions-KSU-Marietta Campus
From I-75:
From I-75 South, take exit 263 (Southern Polytechnic/120 Loop). Turn right onto South Marietta Parkway. Go one mile and turn left onto Technology Way, which leads into campus. For visitor parking take the first right onto North Drive, then immediately turn left into the visitor parking lot.
